Legalized Looting in Closed Schools
By Slobodan Milosevic

Word is coming in from teachers across the city that the looting has officially begun, or is already in process.

Under the eyes of the Chicago Public Schools, teachers across the city are diving into the schools that were closed, pulling up prized possessions - white boards, classic book sets, projectors, etc.

Much like the Germans looting homes as they rampaged the Russian countryside in World War II, the Chicago Public Schools generals have issued similar orders to its troops across the city to rape, pillage and plunder the schools.

"It was awful," one CPS teacher stated, of course off the record.  "There were these beautiful classrooms set up with the books, and white boards and everything so nicely laid out, and here we were on orders to take whatever we wanted."

Yes, siree!  Nothing like robbing the dead, taking whatever jewelry or other valuables ripe for the taking.

Of course, CPS would say it's not looting, because these resources would be thrown out anyway.

And who can blame the looters, when the public schools are grossly under-funded these days.  Teachers are scrambling to get what they can.

Isn't this a wonderful system we have!  Let's ridicule and lie and say how we have to close perfectly normal functioning schools, and then dance on their graves.

I just hope next time, Mr. Emanuel is invited to mark the ceremonial opening, and grabbing the first book!

Great PR, Mr. Mayor.  Putting a knife in the heart of public education for our children.
