Culture Clash Ogden-Jenner Merger
We received this Facebook post from a concerned Jenner parent about the merger between the middle-class Ogden Elementary School and the low-income African American Jenner Schools. Merging two different cultures is not an easy task, as illustrated below!

The original students of Jenner are starting to complain about the merger. They weren't allowed to decorate or have a Christmas celebration. Now it's Martin Luther King's birthday, something we always made a big thing of with assemblies and tributes, no plans that they know of. They had Father/Daughter dances. Mother/Sons dances. Easter. How much more will they have to sacrifice
